Cohesion is a measure of how strongly-related or focused the responsibilities of a single module are. Since cohesion is within module so this dependency is about objects i.e. cohesion is related to objects' link in a module. Coupling is a measure of independence of a module or component. Coupling measures linkage between modules. Link between modules is because of object interaction. So coupling too is among objects of different modules.
