Ring Sum Vs AND Operator

Kindly explain the difference between "Ring Sum Operator" and "AND Operator". Both diagrams are same in the handsout so please mentioned the difference in the diagram as well.

Ring Sum operator is used when data from a source process can flow to one of the mentioned sinks, whereas AND operator is used when data from a source process must flow to all the connected sinks.
