Regarding FM Example 5BWm is BW of left hand side but total BW is given as BWt=BWm * 10= 50Bwm which means 25BWm &25BWm? my question is that we have to to take single sided band width 5BWm or both side BWms that is 5BWm +5BWm =10 BWm, so that Total BW=10 *10BWm=100 Please clarify the concept
An FM signal requires 10 times the bandwidth of the original signal.
For example, if you are given an audio signal with BW of 5 MHz then the BW needed to modulate this signal using FM will be calculated in following way.
BW= 10 x 5 MHz= 50 MHz.
So, whatever the BW of an audio signal you are given, you have to use the same formula to calculate the bandwidth for modulation of the signal using FM.
