What is the difference between value marketing and consumer oriented marketing?
Value marketing: Value of a product is the mental estimation of a customer wherein he compares the benefits of a product with its costs. Thus value marketing aims at providing customer greater set of benefits and value to the customer for their money. E.g. a Pakistani customer will derive more value from a chicken tikka pizza topping than a pepperoni pizza topping while a Japanese customer will derive more value from a tuna topping than a pepperoni topping.
Customer oriented marketing aims at providing the customers with products that satisfy them. They can do this by segmenting the market and then catering to the specific needs of that segment. It may include even tailoring or customizing the product according to the very needs of the customer.
A company newsletter is regular publication done by the company to provide interesting and useful information to employees and customers.
According to Michael Porter basic competitive strategies that firms pursue are cost leadership strategy, differentiation strategy and focus strategy. Firms that do not pursue a clear and distinctive strategy from its competitors are called middle of the readers.
