Difference between closed and open end questions, consumer market difference between consumer and customer

Close ended questions are those questions in which different option are given and respondent has to select one from it. For example your Quizzes have MCQs, in which you have different options and you have to select one.

Open ended questions means those question in which no option is given and respondent is free to write anything he / she want to. For example asking opinion about product or services, asking for comments in comment book etc

Consumer means end user, an individual who is actually using that product or services.

Customer could be anybody, a person or business. Anyone who is purchasing something either for sake of use or resale, is known as customer

For example, if someone is purchasing toothpaste for use, is known as consumer and if a whole seller is purchasing products from distributor for resale purpose, is known as customer. So for that distributor, wholesaler is customer, retailer is customer for wholesaler, and distributor is a customer for manufacturer.
