Examples of Monolithic?

Monolithic refers to constituting or acting as a single. In the context of your lecture, Monolithic is one of the characteristics of a protocol. Protocols can be either monolithic or structured.
If the single module is dealing with the big problem then we will say that the protocol which is being used is the monolithic protocol, on the other hand, if we divide the big task into smaller units and we have separate modules to deal the units of a big task then we will say that the protocol which is being used is the Structured protocol. The later one is more appropriate approach.
