What is stakeholder and its role in organization

A stakeholder may be anyone who has an interest or stake in the organization. A company's stakeholders might identify the following stakeholders:

  • Employees serve the organization
  • Communities provides checks and balances on the organization by reminding organizations of environment protection laws
  • Shareholders a shareholder or stockholder is an institution, corporation or individual who legally owns or holds any part of a share or stock in a public or private corporation.
  • Creditors provide credit to the organization.
  • Investors invest in the organization with a view to earning profits.
  • Government
  • Customers ultimately buy from the organization.
  • Suppliers provide supplies or raw materials to organization.
