Difference in Data Communication and Telecommunication.

Main difference between Data Communication and telecommunication.

Data Communication

Data communication refers to the transmission of information between two or more concerned authorities using some specific medium and some specific pattern (0,1 &1’s) understandable to that medium and easy to propagate over it.

Telecommunication

Whereas “telecommunication” is a general term that is used for communication over long distances using telephony technology. For example: Mobile devices, Satellites, Landlines.

Telecommunication vs Data Communication

So we can say that “data communication” based on the computer means it is used to process the digital information and relies on “telecommunication” equipment to deliver the information to remote receiver.

In other words data communication is some how your networking or internet connection. which let you download movies and videos software and other useful stuff. Which use your telecommunication services like satellite and other devices to transmit signals.

  1. Data Communications is the transfer of data or information between a source and a receiver. The source transmits the data and the receiver receives it. The actual generation of the information is not part of Data Communications nor is the resulting action of the information at the receiver. Data Communication is interested in the transfer of data, the method of transfer and the preservation of the data during the transfer process.
