 A bridge manages a forwarding table. When the bridge receives a frame from the LAN, it examines the destination address (DA) and finds the corresponding entry in its forwarding table. If the destination port is not the same one from which the frame was just read as input, the bridge will transmit a copy of the frame on the destination port.
