Three elements of interpersonal communication include the unique thinking that occurs both at sender and receiver side and the third element is the exchange of ideas between them.  Secondly you asked that how intra personal communication goes along during interpersonal interaction. Let’s suppose that a subordinate is talking to the higher level manger. Manager asks the subordinate about his poor performance. Now, the subordinate will internally or intra personally think that how should he response to the manager, how to explain or justify his position toward the manager. This process of thinking while communicating to the manager is an example of how intra personal communication goes along during interpersonal interactions. Similarly, if a student asks some question to the teacher and teacher thinks in his mind that how to respond the student query in the classroom, what actually student is asking from him etc, these sort of questions that teacher thinks in his mind is an example of intra personal communication at the receiver side who is simultaneously involved in interpersonal communication.
