Marketing: The way a business organization identifies its customers, defines and develops the products or services that its customers want, and sells and distributes those products or services to customers.
It is an important factor for the success of the business. It involves all the affairs related to production, distribution, pricing and even the aspects of the social and ethical responsibility. For example, if you have decided to sell your product through exclusive outlets, this comes under marketing. Marketing also encompasses deciding on which medium of promotion to be adopted to create your product awareness etc.
